Industry values RMIT student
Geelong-based RMIT University Property and Valuation student, Timothy Gleeson,
has beaten 30 other candidates from Victorian universities to receive the
m3property Award.
The award consists of a rotational program within the m3property company in
2010. The position involves working three days a week and a prize of $3,000 upon
completion.
Pia Davies, of m3property, said Mr Gleeson proved to be an excellent candidate,
who was a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to
work in valuations.
Mr Gleeson said he had been passionate about property and valuation since his
childhood, often working for his fathers real estate agency in Geelong.
When I was on school holidays and the administration staff went away, Dad would
have me come in and fill in for them, answering phones and filing.
After attending an information session held by m3property, Mr Gleeson was
impressed by the friendly professionalism and the abundance of on-the-job training
made available by the company.
I see great potential for professional and personal development during my time
with m3property, and can definitely see myself working with them well into the
future, Mr Gleeson said.
m3property has a long-standing relationship with RMITs School of Property,
Construction and Project Management, with many senior staff presenting guest
lectures to students. Danny Thomas, director of m3propertys Agribusiness
Division, recently assisted in the Schools Advanced Valuations program in relation
to Agriculture and Compulsory Acquisition.
Mr Gleeson is excited about the opportunities this award presents. Im passionate
about extending my experience in the property industry across all property sectors
and areas, and m3property has offered me an amazing chance to do this.
