Woodbury University Honors Don Anton Deepthi Jayamaha With MBA

Sri Lankan business and community leader Don Anton Deepthi Jayamaha of
Colombo has been recognized by Woodbury University with an honorary Master of
Business Administration (MBA) degree.
"Through his leadership and life's work, Deepthi has demonstrated the
true spirit of Woodbury's mission and has set a fine example for others,"
says Kenneth R. Nielsen, Ed.D., president, Woodbury University. "Deepthi has

Jayamaha is managing director of the Victoria Group in Colombo. He
attended Woodbury University in 1979 before returning to Sri Lanka to take
over his family's business, a pioneer in the manufacture of automotive leaf
springs that under Jayamaha's leadership is today a highly diversified
business with interests in manufacturing, trading, public transportation,
property development, garments, and internet installation. The company was
founded in 1952 by Jayamaha's father.
Jayamaha, who strongly supports education through scholarships and other
activities, was honored in 2008 with the title of Deshamanya ("pride of the
nation") for his accomplishments and significant contribution to country. He
and his wife Nilika have four children, Dinike, Nilishana, Dehan, and Nihara.
Woodbury University has educated more than 75,000 alumni. Three-quarters
of Woodbury graduates have resided in Southern California (USA), but Woodbury
alumni can be found in all 50 states and in 49 countries. Notable alumni have
