Top VCE students awarded National 
Scholarships Monday 
 
Some of Victorias highest achieving year 12 students will gather at the University 
of Melbourne on Monday, December 14, after being awarded National Scholarships 
to study at the University. 
 
Melbourne National Scholarship recipients must achieve an ENTER or equivalent of 99.9 
or above 
 
Successful Victorian applicants receive a HECS exempt Commonwealth Supported place 
and a $5000 annual allowance for the normal duration of their undergraduate degree.   
 
Its innovative Melbourne Model curriculum and strong performance in international 
rankings makes the University of Melbourne a world leader in higher education. In 2009 
Melbourne was ranked 36 overall by the Times Higher Education (up from 38) and was the 
only Australian university to have all surveyed disciplines in the Top 30 in the world.
