Workplace leadership and mental
health

At a Darwin HR leadership conference today (Tuesday September 22) a speaker from a peak
mental health body will explore how business leaders can work towards an engaged and
mentally healthy workplace.
The manager of the Mindful Employer Initiative at SANE Australia, Charmaine Smith, is one of a
number of keynote speakers giving presentations at an AHRI Leadership Conference which is
one of a series of nation-wide state events presenting research, case studies and the latest
thinking in HR and people management.
Other keynote speakers at the conference are:
educator, researcher and human performance specialist, Dr Adam Fraser, on the key to
high performance
general manager of the Crowne Plaza Hotel Darwin, Fiona Pryde, on leadership and
the lessons learned.
The conference will be held at the Dawrwin Convention Centre. Media representatives are
invited to attend but must register as media.
