PROFESSOR MICK DODSON AM TO ADDRESS LAW
INSTITUTE TOMORROW
Australian of the Year, Professor Mick Dodson AM, will address a Law Institute of Victoria
President’s Leadership Lunch tomorrow, Friday 14 August 2009.
Professor Dodson is a tireless campaigner for improvements in the lives of Indigenous
People through reconciliation, understanding and education.
He will discuss his role as Australian of the Year, as well as discussing how the legal
profession can work towards appropriate representation of indigenous Australians at all
levels – including solicitors, barristers and the judiciary.
LIV President Danny Barlow is concerned at the low representation of indigenous people
in the law.
