TRAFFIC ALERT
18 OCTOBER 2010
CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON ADELONG
CREEK BRIDGES
Motorists are being advised about changed traffic conditions on the
Adelong Creek Bridges over Adelong Creek on the Snowy Mountains
Highway from Tuesday 19 October, weather permitting.
All traffic will be moved onto the newly built southbound lane of the
bridge so work can start on the northbound section.
During the work the bridge will be reduced to a single lane with
temporary traffic lights operating at each end of the bridge.
Work will take place from 7.30am to 5pm with a reduced speed limit of
20km/h at all times.
Motorists may experience delays of up to 10 minutes.
Pedestrians will continue to have access across Adelong Creek via the
new footbridge at the rear of Adelong Swimming Pool.
All reduced speed limits will be clearly signposted on the approaches to
the work site and motorists are asked to obey all temporary traffic
controls.
The RTA thanks motorists for their patience while this essential work is
carried out.
