WEST GATE FREEWAY CLOSURES

The West Gate Freeway will be completely closed to traffic in each direction between
Millers and Williamstown roads on the nights of Saturday 23 and 24 October 2010.
The lane closures are required for the erection of a Variable Message Sign (VMS)
which spans the entire width of the freeway. The VMS signs are used on the M1
Freeway to inform motorists about road conditions and incidents.
The West Gate Freeway will close at the following times:
Saturday 23 October, 9pm until 9am, both directions
Sunday 24 October, 9pm until 4.30am, both directions.
A detour route for the closure is planned and motorists are advised to allow for an
additional 10 minutes of travel time.
