Caravanners and Campers Prepare to Gear Up at the Penrith Expo

The annual Penrith Caravan, Camping and Holiday Expo is on again at Penrith Panthers from 12- 14 September 2008 and will feature around 150 exhibitors displaying a range of leisure products and recreational vehicles which are part of Australia's $6.5 billion caravan and camping tourism industry.

"The Penrith Expo is a popular event each year that attracts enthusiastic caravanners, campers, 4WDrivers to see the latest and greatest of a strong caravan and camping industry," said Mr Barry Baillie, CEO, Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA).

"The Expo also caters for those who have the desire to get out an experience Australia's beauty, but aren't quite sure where to start. There are a wide variety of destination displays for holiday ideas and a range of products from caravans through to tents to fit every comfort and budget," said Mr Baillie.

The Penrith Expo is a free consumer event which is staged annually by the CCIA to provide a snapshot of the range of options available in caravan and camping tourism.

"Caravan and camping holidays continue to be the best value holiday, catering for a variety of comforts and budgets whether you enjoy staying in a cabin, driving a motorhome or pitching a tent our industry caters for everyone," said Mr Baillie.

Now in its 11th year, the Penrith Expo is considered one of Western Sydney's best leisure shows with crowds predicted to reach some 25,000 people.

"Visitors attend each year to see the latest recreational vehicle models, new destinations, camping and 4WD accessories, tents and gadgets from the caravan and camping industry," said Mr Baillie.

The Penrith Expo will feature exhibitors displaying the latest models of caravans and pop-tops, motorhomes and campervans, camper trailers, 5th wheelers, camping equipment and tents, 4WD products and accessories, holiday destinations and caravan and tourist park displays, and much more for the avid traveller to browse and buy.
