'China Focus Week' Examines the Country's Industries, Economy
and Global Impact
Starting Monday, BLOOMBERG TELEVISION(R) viewers will get a week-long in depth look at
China with the special "China Focus Week." This special week will educate viewers about the
state of the Chinese economy and how its growth has affected the rest of the world.
"China Focus Week" will include reporting from Bloomberg bureaus in Beijing, Shanghai and
Hong Kong with field reports from eastern to southern China. The series will explore the country's
environmental challenges, the plunge in local stock markets, the growing auto industry and Beijing's
preparations for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
The week will feature interviews with Wang Wei, Secretary General of the Beijing Olympic
Organizing Committee; Yang Yuanqing, Chairman of Lenovo Group; Wang Jianzhou, CEO of China
Mobile; Xu Lejiang, chairman of Baosteel Group; Li Kaifu, President of Google China; Wang
Jinlong; President of Starbucks China; Shi Zhengrong, CEO of Suntech Solar; and Li Shufu,
Chairman of Geely Auto. In addition, Bloomberg will interview Rick Wagoner, Chairman of General
Motors; Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan and Renault; and Phil Murtaugh, CEO of Chrysler Asia; live
from the Beijing Auto Show.
"China Focus Week" will be seen across Asia, Europe, the U.K. and the U.S. Monday, April 21st
through Friday, April 25th. In Asia, segments will air on Bloomberg Live at 7AM HKT, Bloomberg
Now at 9AM HKT, Bloomberg Today airing at 12PM HKT, Voices at 2PM HKT and Asia Business
Tonight airing at 7PM HKT. The series can be seen in the US and Europe on Bloomberg Live,
which airs at 7PM ET/ 12AM BST.
