- Palomar5 is Looking for Visionaries to Help Design Tomorrow's Working World
- Lateral Thinkers of Any Background May Apply Until August
15th
- Participants' Flights, Meals and Accommodation Will be Fully Financed
Half a century ago a star cluster was discovered that changes the form of
the Milky Way by releasing its energy. The cluster was called Palomar5. The
project Palomar5 now wants to change the form of the working world. Based in
Berlin, this non-profit initiative invites 30 youths from all over the world
to join an exceptional innovation camp: they will live and work together for
six weeks to design and prototype new working processes that reach beyond
prevailing paradigms and satisfy the demands of a digital generation.
"The Internet has changed our way of living, working and thinking in a
big way. At present a young generation is entering the working world with a
whole new set of expectations and skills," says Palomar5-spokesman Jonathan
Imme. "With our unconventional format we want to find practical answers to
questions of how we want to work together in the future."
Backed by Deutsche Telekom AG and other notable enterprises this vision
is about to become true: From October until end of November 2009, young
visionaries will come together in Berlin's spectacular Malzfabrik. They will
live and work in a unique experimental space while inviting experts from
business, culture and science for inspiration and feedback.
