2DAY FM’s announcer wants to be a Personal Trainer

2Day FMs afternoon announcer, Ellie Mobbs, knows that dreams can come true. From

handing out samples from the back of the Black Thunders in Canberra for 104.7FM, to

getting the gig at Perth’s 92.9FM as morning announcer, Ellie’s radio dreams have

become a reality working across the table from Kyle and Jackie O at Sydney’s 2Day FM.

But Ellie is no stranger to a challenge. Earlier this year Ellie posted a line on the stations

website that one of her New Years resolutions, was to become a qualified Personal

Trainer.

The Australian Institute of Fitness saw the resolution as a challenge, can a busy person,

with work and social commitments get qualified  – so they offered Ellie the challenge –

get qualified as a PT via their new on-line eCampus.

The Institutes eCampus allows students to study in their time, at their pace. Unlike most

on-line courses, the Institute’s eCampus is a powerful combination on on-line interactive

course material and one on one course support from dedicated eCoaches.

Ellie said “The course coaches are a great help and an inspiration. If I ever get stuck, or

need a hand, I can call my eCoach – Kate. Growing up I played representative hockey

and was constantly being driven around by Mum & Dad to different sporting events,

being active is in my blood! Being a qualified Personal Trainer has been something that

has interested me for so long and soon I will be.

Doing the course on-line fits in with my busy schedule, I can stop and start sections of the

course when I like, without disrupting my study flow. The eCampus is full of interactive

knowledge checks that make studying enjoyable and fun – it’s not a bunch of PDF files

that you read on the computer, it’s interactive with plenty of audio visual stuff – so you

can see what the Course Coach is demonstrating.

They also have eClassrooms where you can chat with other students and the Coach –

live! – I’d recommend the Australian Institute of Fitness to anyone who wants to be a

Personal Trainer” Ellie commented.

The Australian Institute of Fitness has full time, part time and on-line courses. With more

campuses, more graduates more and more trainers employed in the fitness industry –

they’re 1st

in Fitness Courses & Careers.
