Try a trade at the Career Choices Expo
Budding tradies can try their hand at more than 30 careers dealing with everything from bricks
to blooms and cars to cabinets at the Career Choices Expo next week.
Trades on offer at the largest Try-A-Trade exhibit in Australia include bricklaying, floristry,
automotive, cabinet making, jewellery making, plumbing, tiling, cooking, stonemasonry,
horticulture, nursing, graphic arts and more.
To be held from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22 at the Claremont Showground Exhibition
Centre, the expo will feature about 80 exhibitors including TAFEWA colleges, Western
Australian and interstate universities, private training providers and employers.
There are also seminars, stage presentations and a careers advisory service offering one-on-
one career advice.
Last years event drew 16,000 visitors including young people, people looking to up skill and
people looking for a career change and organisers expect this years expo to be even bigger.
The Career Choices Expo is the states premier career, education and training event,
Department of Education and Training Director General Sharyn ONeill said.
Its free to visit and has everything you need to plan your career under one roof.
The expo showcases hundreds of career, education and training opportunities so theres sure
to be something for everyone.
The Career Choices Expo will run from 9am to 3pm on Friday, June 20, and between 10am
and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22.
