German Court Finds WG-Sensorsense GmbH Has Infringed a Key Sensormatic(R) Anti-Theft Tag
Patent
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 12 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
A German appellate court recently found WG-Sensorsense GmbH has infringed a patent on the
Sensormatic SuperTag(R) technology. The court's ruling prohibits WG-Sensorsense GmbH from selling its
infringing SuperSensor and one-time-use hard tags from its German distribution facilities. The court will
determine damages after WG-Sensorsense accounts for its sales of those products. The company is also
responsible for legal costs incurred to bring the court case against them.
"Our customers trust our patented technologies to help protect billions of dollars worth of their goods
worldwide, and we remain committed to continually improving the anti-theft performance of our Sensormatic
technology to their benefit," said Scott Clements, vice president and general manager for the Sensormatic
portfolio of retail solutions. "We are pleased with this verdict, and we will continue to vigorously defend our
rights against those who infringe our intellectual property."
