Media Alert: Law Society of NSW to comment on legal
announcements made by Federal and State Government’s
today
Following two separate announcements by the Federal
Government and the NSW State Government concerning various
changes to legislation, the Law Society of NSW will be holding a
media conference to discuss:
1. The Federal Government’s plans to introduce legislation to
end discrimination against same-sex couples;
2. The State Government’s plans to amend to the Jury Act,
making it easier for individual jurors to be discharged without
the need for trials to be aborted.
A media conference will be held today, in Sydney at 11.30 am.
