PS CONFERENCE DINNER AWARDS NATIONWIDE RECOGNITION

Some of Australias most esteemed public sector professionals will be recognised tonight at the 2009
IPAA National Conference Green Gala Dinner
with the annual announcement of the Institutes National
Fellows and Young Tall Poppies at 7:45pm.
Held as part of the Institute of Public Administration (IPAAs) annual Conference on 19/20 November at the
Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Green Gala Dinner complements a large scale Conference
program of more than 45 local, national and international speakers.

IPAAs
commitment to recognising and rewarding individuals for their outstanding contribution to the study and
practice of public administration.
In this current economic climate, it is pertinent to not only reflect upon the changes within the Australian
public sector but also reward some of our most promising Australians with much anticipated recognition,
Mr Podger said.
The lives and achievements of our chosen
2009 National Fellows and Young Tall Poppies from around
Australia are commendable.
The winners are more than worthy of such esteemed Awards, demonstrating passion and commitment and
of course, excellence in public administration, he said.
