MEDIA RELEASE
29 JANUARY 2010
$560,000 MAINTENANCE WORK
FOR THE F6
Essential maintenance work will be carried out on the F6 to improve driving
conditions for motorists.
An RTA spokesperson
said the $560,000 work, fully funded by the State
Government, will extend the life of the road.
This essential maintenance work will be carried out at night on the northbound
lanes from Yallah to Kembla Grange.
Motorists are advised one of two lanes on the F6 will be closed to traffic so the
work can be carried out.
The work will be carried out from Sunday, 31 January to Thursday, 4 February
from 7pm to 5am, weather permitting, the spokesperson said.
Signs will be in place to alert motorists of this change.
Motorists are asked to follow all temporary traffic control measures and to drive
carefully through the worksite.
Motorists are advised to be road work aware, slow down and take care as
road
work speed limits are enforceable.
The RTA thanks motorists for their patience while this work is carried out
