TRAFFIC ALERT
12 February 2010
ALSTONVILLE BYPASS CHANGED TRAFFIC
CONDITIONS ON BRUXNER HIGHWAY
The contractor Reed Constructions is continuing work on the Alstonville Bypass with
various stages of the project taking place over the length of the bypass during 2010.
On 12 February 2010 the next stage of work at the eastern end of the project
connecting the new work to the existing Bruxner Highway will start, weather
permitting.
This will involve moving traffic to the north of the current highway. This will allow
further building on the intersection between the existing highway and the new work
with minimal disruption to motorists.
The remaining work will be carried out this year with traffic being redirected at various
times until the bypass is open.
Barriers and temporary line marking will ensure two-way traffic will be available
throughout this period.
Motorists are requested to take all due care during this time and adhere to directions
given by traffic controllers.
These works are necessary to continue construction of the new Alstonville Bypass.
The RTA asks motorists to be patient during these necessary improvements.
