TRAFFIC ALERT
2 FEBRUARY 2010

BLUFF POINT FERRY CHANGE OVER

The RTA will carry out essential maintenance work to the Bluff Point Ferry at
Lawrence.
On Tuesday 2 February, the current 18 car ferry will be refitted, and will be replaced
with a 12 car ferry.
This smaller ferry will be in operation for about 10 weeks while the larger ferry is
refurbished.
Advertisements informing motorists of the temporary change have been running in
local newspapers and on local radio.
There will be no service from 9.30am to 3.00pm on 2 February while the ferries are
changed.
During this time diversions are available via Ulmarra Ferry or Grafton Bridge.
The RTA apologises for any inconvenience that the smaller replacement ferry will
place on motorists during the 10 weeks it will be in operation and asks motorists to be
patient while this essential maintenance work is carried out.
For more information contact the RTAs Traffic Information Line on 132 701.
