CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS 
ELLIS ROAD - ALSTONVILLE BYPASS 
 
Work on the new Ellis Road diversion, part of the Alstonville Bypass, is nearing 
completion.  
 
The deviation will connect to Wardell Road next to the temporary sidetrack at one 
end and onto the current Ellis Road at the other end. 
 
The work is part of the federally-funded $102 million Alstonville bypass. 
 
The work on the connection is planned to start in early February and should be 
completed in two weeks.   
 
This work will involve lane diversions under traffic control for approximately two 
weeks, weather permitting.  
 
At times the new deviation may be restricted to one lane operation and a 40 km/h 
worksite speed restriction will be in place.  
 
Be road work aware, slow down and take care, road work speed limits are 
enforceable 
 
The RTA asks motorists to be patient and to comply with all temporary signposting 
and traffic control measures and to proceed with care through the intersections.
