CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
TOCUMWAL
The RTA is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions on the Newell Highway
at the Tuppal Road and Deniliquin Road roundabout, Tocumwal.
The Newell Highway will be reduced to one lane from Tuesday 16 February
until
Friday 12 March, weather permitting,
at this location so drainage work can be
carried out.
Work hours are from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays from 7am to
1pm. A reduced speed limit of 40kmh will apply during these times.
Traffic lights will be in operation and motorists may experience some delays of up to
10 minutes at times.
Pedestrians will have access to designated crossings and footpath areas and
access to residents and businesses will be retained at all times.
Detours will be available while the work is carried out.
Eastbound traffic will be
detoured using Murray Street and Racecourse Road.
Westbound traffic will be detoured using Silo Road. The detours can be used by B-
doubles.
Motorists are asked to follow all temporary traffic controls.
Be road work aware, slow down and take care – road work speed limits are
enforceable.
