Closures on the West Gate Bridge and Freeway tonight
Motorists are warned of works tonight on both the West Gate Bridge in both
directions and the West Gate Freeway inbound as works continue on the $1.39
billion upgrade of the M1.
Lane closures on the West Gate Bridge will be in place in both directions tonight
from 8pm with only one lane open from 9.30pm tonight until 6am tomorrow morning.
Also the freeway will be closed inbound between Cook Street and Montague Street
tonight from 8 pm until 5am tomorrow morning.
Motorists will be able to detour via Todd Road and Lorimer Street.
The works include resurfacing and are being carried out during the holiday period
when traffic volumes are low.
