FAIRBAIRN ROAD WOOMARGAMA
TO CLOSE TEMPORARILY
The RTA is advising motorists that Fairbairn Road will be temporarily
closed at the intersection with the Hume Highway at Woomargama for five
weeks.
The road will be closed from 7am Monday 11 October until 6pm Monday
15 November, weather permitting.
The closure will enable the Hume Highway Woomargama Alliance to carry
out road work as part of the Woomargama bypass.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday and from
8am to 1pm on Saturday, if required.
Electronic message boards will be placed on the western end of Fairbairn
Road at the Mountain Creek Road intersection. Information will also be
provided at other road intersections with Mountain Creek Road.
During the work, motorists wishing to access the Hume Highway from
Fairbairn Road should detour via Mountain Creek Road.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution and obey all signs. Temporary
traffic controls and speed limits apply.
Be roadwork aware, slow down and take care, roadwork speed limits are
enforceable.
