Geelong trains to be replaced by coaches this weekend
Due to track works, Geelong line train services will be replaced by road coaches
between Southern Cross Station and Marshall this weekend, 24-25 May.
The works will see the replacement of track between Geelong and North Shore and a
platform upgrade at North Shore Station.
Services between Warrnambool and Melbourne will continue to operate as a train
service between Warrnambool and South Geelong, with coaches provided for travel
to and from Melbourne.
This weekend’s works follow the recent night works in the Corio area, and are part of
V/Line’s ongoing program to maintain the track to high standards.
Customers are advised to allow as extra 30 minutes travel time, and V/Line
apologises for any inconvenience.
