Traffic alert West Gate and Monash Freeways
Motorists are warned of major delays on the West Gate and Monash Freeways this
weekend as further works get underway on the $1.39 Monash-CityLink-West Gate (M1)
billion upgrade.
Major works are being undertaken during the day and night, both today and tomorrow,
which include multiple lane closures on the M1 corridor and drivers are warned of significant
delays and to seek alternative routes.
Delays on the West Gate Freeway will affect all eastbound traffic heading to the city as
works are undertaken between Montague Street and Power Street.
On the Monash freeway resurfacing works will be undertaken between Toorak Road and
Warrigal Road and will involve lane closures.
