Major works on the M1 Freeway this weekend
Significant delays are expected from 8pm Friday, 23 October until 5am Monday, 26
October. Drivers are strongly encouraged to avoid the area.
Significant delays are expected for traffic travelling from the West Gate Bridge to city
Traffic eastbound direction reduced to three lanes in the between Bolte Bridge and
the CityLink tunnels
During this time the recently-opened Montague Street eastbound entry-ramp will be
closed
Saturday night freeway closure between Kings Way and Warrigal Rd
Full freeway closure between Kings Way through the CityLink Tunnels and Warrigal
Road from 9pm Saturday to 9am Sunday.
Traffic will be detoured via Kings Way, Queens Road, Princes Highway and Warrigal
Road.
Delays are expected for traffic travelling on the Monash Freeway between Toorak Rd
to High St on Saturday and Sunday
Traffic will be reduced to two lanes inbound between Burke Rd and Toorak Rd. Burke
Rd entry ramp and Toorak Rd exit ramp will be closed, traffic will be detoured via
Burke Rd
Traffic will be reduced to two lanes outbound between Burke Rd and High St. Burke
Rd entry ramp and High St exit ramp will be closed, traffic will be detoured via Burke
Rd
These are part of ongoing resurfacing and joint replacement works on the M1 which are
likely to cause delays each weekend up until Christmas. M1 upgrade thanks you for your
