MEDIA RELEASE
12 February 2010
NEW TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON THE PACIFIC HIGHWAY
AT MACKSVILLE
New traffic lights will be installed at the intersection of Pacific Highway (Cooper
Street) and Boundary Street, Macksville as part of a new Woolworths Shopping
Complex.
The new lights will manage traffic turning in and out of the local retail centre currently
being built along Cooper Street as well as help better manage peak hour traffic in the
area, an RTA spokesperson said.
Work on the highway will be managed to minimise the impact on traffic.
The work is scheduled to start this week and will take about eight weeks to
complete, weather permitting, the spokesperson said.
The work is funded by the developer, with installation being carried out by the RTA
on their behalf.
RTA would like to thank motorists and residents in advance for their patience and
understanding as this work is carried out.
