New V/Line Timetable for the Gippsland Line Sunday 27 April

V/Line will introduce a new regional train timetable from Sunday April 27 to coincide with the new metropolitan Connex schedule.

The majority of Gippsland line services remain unaffected, however V/Line advises customers to pick up a copy of the new timetable from staffed stations from Wednesday 23 April.

V/Line General Manager Ursula McGinnes said people from Bunyip to Bairnsdale had embraced cheaper fares and extra services in record numbers, so V/Line has worked to provide more capacity on trains where possible.

"All trains are in full use during the peak periods, so weve maneuvered the fleet to provide more carriages to some services that are consistently full.

"In the second half of this year well see new carriages being progressively added to the VLocity fleet, so customers should start to see an increase in capacity on some of our peak trains," Ms McGinnes said.

Ms McGinnes said that while most Gippsland line train times did not change, passengers are encouraged to pick up a new timetable from 23 April for the latest details.

Downloadable copies of the timetable will be available at vline.com.au from 16 April.
