Public transport helps thousands see in 2010

revellers heading to and from the

with the crowds during the busy evening.
Free trains, trams and NightRider buses ran all night getting
people to and from the city
easily and safely for this years celebrations.
We are extremely grateful to all of our passengers who showed patience and cooperation
as we moved large crowds across Melbourne throughout the night, Mr Carolan said.

their celebrations and home again in a safe and reliable way.
Mr Carolan also thanked staff, who gave up their own celebrations to work during the night.
Staff from Metlink, Metro, Yarra Trams and bus companies worked hard all night to ensure
patrons had the services and information they needed to get about and enjoy the citys
celebrations. Without their hard work, events like this are not be possible, he said.
