TRAFFIC ALERT

PUTTY ROAD MAINTENANCE WORK 
 
The RTA is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions while it carries out 
road maintenance work on Putty Road 1.5 kilometres north of Colo River, Colo 
Heights. 
 
The $240,000 project will start Sunday 7 February 2010 and will take around 
three weeks to complete, weather permitting. 
 
The road is currently safe to use. The work involves the removal of loose 
boulders and rock stabilising work. 
 
To minimise traffic disruptions, work will be done at night and the road will be 
partially closed from Sunday to Friday between 8pm and 5am. 
 
There will be changed traffic conditions near this work and short delays may be 
expected.  
 
During this work, motorists are asked to follow the signs, including reduced 
speed limits, and to follow the direction of traffic controllers. 
 
Be road work aware, slow down and take care  Road work speed limits are 
enforceable. 
 
The RTA appreciates the patience of residents and motorists while it completes
