RAW SQUARE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
The RTA is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions while it completes
road improvement work on Raw Square, Strathfield.
The RTA will start road maintenance on Raw Square between Albert Street and
Everton Road on Sunday 3 March 2010. The work will take about two weeks to
complete, weather permitting.
This work involves some road resurfacing to provide a smoother, more durable
road surface, improving road safety.
To minimise traffic disruptions, work will be carried out at night. The section of
road being repaired will be partially closed Sunday to Thursday from 8pm to
5am.
There will be some noise associated with this work, however every effort will be
made to minimise the impact of noise on local residents.
Up-to-date information regarding this work, including any changes to work days,
will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road.
During this work motorists are asked to follow the signs, including reduced
speed limits and to follow the direction of traffic controllers. Minor delays are
expected due to the changed traffic conditions.
Be road work aware, slow down and take care – road work speed limits are
enforceable.
