ROBERTS ROAD IMPROVEMENT WORK
TO START SOON
The RTA is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions while it completes road
improvement work on Roberts Road, Chullora.
The RTA will start road maintenance on Roberts Road between the Hume Highway and
Jean Street on Wednesday 18 February 2010. The work will take about two weeks to
complete, weather permitting.
This work involves some road asphalt resurfacing to provide a smoother, more durable
road surface, improving road safety.
To minimise traffic disruptions, work will be carried out at night. The section of road
undergoing maintenance will be partially closed from 8pm to 5am.
There will be some noise associated with this work, however every effort will be made to
minimise the impact of noise on local residents.
Up-to-date information regarding this work, including any date changes, will be displayed
on electronic message signs along the roadway.
During this work motorists are asked to follow the signs, including reduced speed limits,
and to follow the direction of traffic controllers. Minor delays are expected due to the
changed traffic conditions.
Be road work aware, slow down and take care road work speed limits are enforceable.
The RTA appreciates the patience of motorists while this work is carried out.
