ST ALBANS BRIDGE MAINTENANCE
WORK CONTINUES

Maintenance work is continuing on St Albans Bridge across the MacDonald River between
St Albans Road and The Settlers Road.

This work is worth more than $2.6 million and is fully funded by the NSW Government.

St Albans Bridge is a timber truss road bridge and provides an important transport link
across the MacDonald River and is listed on the State Heritage Register, an RTA
spokesperson said.

The RTA is currently repairing or replacing much of the bridge including the piers and
trusses which will mean the bridge will function for years to come.

The majority of current work will generally be carried out Monday to Friday from 7am to
6pm and Saturday from 8am to 1pm.

Residents will be notified of any work outside these hours.

Short bridge closures will be required during various stages of the ongoing work.  The
timing of these closures will be signposted in advance.

Motorists are asked to follow all road signs, including reduced speed limits and to follow
the directions of traffic controllers.

The RTA appreciates the patience of residents and motorists while it carries out this work.
