Survey Rates Australia's Best Sports Utility Vehicle
Consumers review Kia Sorento as top SUV

The Kia Sorento has been named by a consumer review as Australia's best sports utility vehicle on our roads. Consumers reviewing cars on Australia's largest and most comprehensive review site, ProductReview.com.au, has named the Sorento their top pick for 2010.

The top rating came from 916 people logged on to ProductReview.com.au to rate and review 14 different SUVs. The Mazda CX-7 and Subaru Forester tied for second place, while the Toyota Rav4 and Honda CR-V came in third and fourth respectively.

"The site allows everyday drivers to review the car they own offering an unbiased assessment of a particular make or brand," said Stas Belkov, general manager of ProductReview.com.au.

First introduced in 2002, the Sorento earned its top review rating for its innovative styling, value-for-money, off-road abilities, and durability. Just released in October 2009, the next generation Sorento offers a contemporary new design, a 2.2-litre R-turbo diesel engine, and a five-star safety rating. From one reviewer: "I like lots of things about the Sorento. Engine power, four wheel drive ability, ease of drivability, turning circle, reasonable fuel economy for a four wheel drive vehicle. I like its general looks and road presence."
