TEMPORARY CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON
THE SUMMERLAND WAY
Work to improve a 750-metre long section of the Summerland Way about 34km north
of Grafton has started.
The $520,000 improvements will widen the road to improve safety and driving
conditions.
Some minor traffic delays may be experienced during work hours between 7am to
5pm on weekdays and 7am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane of alternating traffic flow with a 40km/h speed limit
in place.
Outside working hours traffic will be controlled by portable traffic lights with a 60km/h
speed limit in place until the upgrade is completed.
The work is anticipated to be completed in March 2010, weather permitting.
Motorists are asked to comply with all
temporary signposting and traffic control
measures and to proceed with care through this worksite.
Be road work aware, slow down and take care
road work speed limits are
enforceable.
The RTA asks motorists to be patient during this essential work.
The work will be undertaken by the Clarence Valley Council on behalf of the RTA.
