TRAFFIC ALERT

18 OCTOBER 2010

TRAFFIC CHANGES ON F3 FREEWAY

NEAR NEWCASTLE LINK ROAD

Motorists are advised there will be changed traffic conditions on the F3 Freeway near

the Newcastle Link Road this week.

The work will take place at night from

Monday

18 October to

Thursday

21 October

2010, between 7pm and 4am the next morning.

For the work on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 October, the right-hand lane for

northbound and southbound traffic on the F3 will be closed.

For the work on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 October, only the left-hand lane for

northbound traffic on the F3 will be closed.

Traffic travelling in both directions will be restricted to 40km/h within the work zone.

These changes to traffic conditions are necessary to allow geotechnical

investigations to

be safely completed and work is being carried out at night to

minimise disruption to traffic.

This work is part of the investigation for the design and construction of the Hunter

Expressway.

Traffic management will be in place to ensure the safety of

workers and motorists.

Motorists are asked to drive safely through work sites and observe all speed limits.

The RTA thanks motorists for their patience during this work.

Motorists should obey

all signs at the site, including reduced speed limit signs.

Be road work aware, slow down and take care –

road work speed limits are

enforceable.
