TRAFFIC ALERT
17 November 2009
TRAFFIC DIVERT ON
WATERFALL WAY MARX HILL
Motorists are advised that there will be a delay of about 20 minutes while a
traffic diversion takes place on Waterfall Way, west of the intersection of Old
Brierfield Road at Marx Hill, about 3 kilometres east of Bellingen.
The diversion of traffic onto a new section of road will take place on Friday 20
November 2009 at about 11am, weather permitting.
After the diversion a temporary speed limit of 40km/h will be in place with traffic
moving to the newly built two lane road.
The work is part of the Marx Hill project that will reduce two curves, reduce the
risk of flooding (by building the road higher) and provide wider road shoulders
over a one kilometre section. The work will also involve
the installation of a
cattle underpass. The existing rest area will be retained.
The RTA apologises for any inconvenience and asks motorists to be road work
aware, slow down and take care road work speed limits are enforceable.
The work is being done by the RTA.
For further information motorists can contact the RTAs traffic information line
on 132 701.
