ROAD SAFETY WORK COMPLETED IN
TWEED HEADS
Road safety improvements have been completed at the intersections of Ducat Street
with Mugga Way and Ducat Street with Ourimbah Drive, Tweed Heads.
An RTA spokesperson
said work involved installing improved signs and traffic
calming measures to slow motorists approaching the intersections of Ducat Street
with Mugga Way and Ourimbah Drive.
The improvements to the intersections will improve road safety for motorists
travelling along this section of Ducat Street in Tweed Heads.
The spokesperson
said this intersection has a high crash history with 10 crashes
recorded at this location in the past five years.
The work was undertaken by Tweed Shire Council on behalf of the RTA and was fully
funded by the Federal Government under the Nation Building Black Spot Program
costing $65,000.
