V/Line timetable change Sunday 9 November
V/Line is reminding regional train and coach travellers that a new timetable starts this
Sunday, 9 November.
While the majority of services remain unaffected, some services will depart earlier,
depart later, or have different stopping patterns.
V/Line advises customers to pick up a copy of the new timetable from staffed V/Line
stations or online at vline.com.au
V/Line General Manager Ursula McGinnes said people from all over Victoria had
embraced cheaper fares and extra services in record numbers.
"With fuel prices high, we've seen unprecedented growth on all of our trains.
"With the 23 per cent statewide increase in patronage during the last financial year,
we've now nearly doubled our patronage over the past four years.
"We've maneuvered the fleet to provide more carriages to some services that are
consistently full, and there are now more than 1400 train services every week across
Victoria.
"In the coming years the focus will be on expanding our current trains to make them
bigger and provide more seats," Ms McGinnes said.
The new V/Line timetable is being introduced to coincide with the new metropolitan
Connex schedule.
Downloadable copies of the timetable are available now at vline.com.au
