WANGEE ROAD CLOSED FOR
CELEBRATIONS
The RTA is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions this Friday, 27
November 2009, as part of the Eid Al-Adha celebrations around the Lakemba
Mosque.
As part of the celebrations the RTA is advising road closures will be in place on
Wangee Road between 6am and 11am.
The closures to Wangee Road are between Skyline Road and Yangoora Road.
This section of Wangee Road passes through Punchbowl Road however
Punchbowl Road will not be affected by the celebrations.
This is an annual event organised by the Lebanese Muslim Association and up to
40,000 members of the local Islamic community are expected to attend.
The RTA is advising motorists to avoid the area if possible or allow for extra
travel time if travelling through during the celebrations.
