West Gate Bridge closed inbound overnight this Monday
Motorists are warned of the closure of the West Gate Bridge inbound overnight on
Monday 4 January as part of the $1.39 billion upgrade of the M1.
From 8pm Monday night until 5am Tuesday morning the West Gate Bridge will be
closed inbound. Outbound the bridge will remain open to three lanes.
Traffic will need to exit at Williamstown Road with detour routes via Princes Highway
or Footscray Road.
Further works will continue on Tuesday night from 8pm to 5am Wednesday morning
with the West Gate Freeway closed inbound from Cook Street, at the Shell Service
Centre, to Montague Street. Motorists will be able to detour via Todd Road and
Lorimer Street.
The works include resurfacing of the freeway and are weather dependent.
