TRAFFIC ALERT
28 DECEMBER 2009
DRIVE CAREFULLY IN THE WET CONDITIONS
NSW motorists are advised to drive carefully in the wet weather conditions currently
affecting much of the state.
Several roads in regional NSW and in Sydney are affected by flooding caused by the
heavy rain.
Motorists driving in wet weather should slow down and drive according to the
conditions.
Where visibility is low, motorists should also use their headlights.
Roads can become flooded quickly in heavy rain so motorists should exercise
caution while driving today.
Motorists are reminded that the 90 km/h wet weather speed limit is in place on the F3
between the Hawkesbury River and Mount White. This section of the F3 has a history
of speed-related crashes in wet weather.
Flooding is also affecting the Newell, Castlereagh and Kamilaroi highways in western
NSW.
For information about traffic conditions, motorists should contact the RTAs Traffic
Information Line on 132 701.
