WORK CONTINUES ON STANWELL PARK
PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
An RTA spokesperson said today that essential maintenance work will continue on the
Stanwell Park pedestrian bridge over Lawrence Hargrave Drive.
The spokesperson said the RTA will continue repainting work on the pedestrian bridge
from Monday, 1 February 2010 between 7am and 4pm, weather permitting.
This work started in November last year and will continue until early March 2010.
While the work is carried out,
the northbound lane
on Lawrence Hargrave Drive will
be closed to traffic however, motorists travelling in both directions will still be able to
drive through the worksite, guided by temporary traffic lights.
Access to properties within the work area will be maintained at all times, the
spokesperson said.
The spokesperson
said pedestrians will still be able to access the Stanwell Park
pedestrian bridge while the work is being carried.
Motorists are also asked to comply with all temporary signs
and traffic control
measures and are advised to expect minor delays.
Motorists are advised to be road work aware, slow down and take care as
road work
speed limits are enforceable.
This $300,000 project is funded by the NSW Government.
