Major works on West Gate Bridge, West Gate Freeway and Monash Freeway 11
December to 14 December 2009
Weekend works will continue on the M1 corridor this weekend as part of the $1.39 billion
upgrade.
West Gate Bridge. Westbound traffic reduced to three lanes from 8pm Friday to 3pm
Saturday with only two lanes available 5.30am to 11am Saturday and three lanes available
8pm Sunday to 6.30am Monday. Eastbound traffic reduced to one lane 5.30am to 3pm
Saturday and traffic reduced to three lanes 8pm Sunday to 5am Monday.
West Gate Freeway works continue with closures of westbound Montague Exit Ramp from
8pm Friday to 5am Monday. Cook Street eastbound entry ramp closed 8pm Friday to 5am
Sunday and 8pm Sunday to 5am Monday. Cook Street eastbound exit ramp closed 7am
Sunday to 5am Monday. Eastbound traffic reduced to two lanes between Kings Way and
Montague Street 8pm Friday to 5am Monday.
Monash Freeway will have one lane available between Warrigal Road and Glenferrie Road
inbound from 9pm Friday to 5am Saturday and outbound from 10pm to 5am. These works
are weather permitting and if not able to be carried out on Friday night will be postponed to
Saturday (or Sunday if needed)
