Works this weekend on the M1
Works will continue on the West Gate Freeway and West Gate Bridge this weekend
as part of the $1.39 billion upgrade.
The Kings Way entrance to the freeway heading west will be closed from 8pm
tonight until Monday morning. In addition there will be triple lane closures on the
West Gate Bridge in both directions tonight with only one lane open from 930pm to
6am Saturday morning.
Other works during the weekend include;

Triple lane closures on the West Gate Bridge on Saturday night in both
directions from 9pm until 6am Sunday morning with only one lane open to
traffic. A double lane closure inbound on the bridge will remain in place until
11am Sunday morning;

Closure of the CityLink tunnels from 9pm Saturday night to 9am Sunday
morning and closure of the Power Street exit ramp heading east during this
time; and

Lane closures in place in the West Gate Freeway heading outbound towards
Geelong from 7.30pm until 5am Monday morning.
The works include resurfacing works and are being carried out during the holiday
period when traffic volumes are low.
