MEDIA RELEASE: Monday 20 April, 2009

Eureka Skydeck’s Million Milestone

Eureka Skydeck 88 today announces its one millionth visitor, less than two years since it

opened its doors on 15th May 2007.

Olivia Grace 27, from Geelong West in Victoria was greeted by Eureka Skydeck 88 CEO John

Forman and presented with a special millionth visitor prize - a trip for two to the casino capital of

the world, Las Vegas.

“I couldn’t believe it – I am still shaking with excitement.  I’ve never won a thing before

and I’ve never been to America, so this trip will be just fantastic!”, said an emotional Olivia.

Skydeck CEO John Forman said, “We are amazed we have reached our million milestone

so soon, well ahead of our expectations.  To our delight, visiting Skydeck and The Edge

have certainly become a ‘must-do’ Melbourne experience for visitors and locals alike.”

“We’ve had great support from the community from day one, in particular the several

thousand teachers and students who have participated in our education program. They

were early supporters of the Skydeck and their involvement has grown consistently over

time," he added.

Mr Forman said several new Skydeck developments were in the planning phase and visitors will

benefit from more interactive and sensory experiences in the future. New developments in the

Education Program will also be launched in the next few weeks.
