Final weekend for Australia's premier caravan and camping show

This weekend (25-26 April) will be the last opportunity for travellers to find their magical holiday at the NSW Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Holiday Supershow at Rosehill Racecourse.

Barry Baillie, CEO of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) says that great crowds are expected to continue over the ANZAC Day weekend with some 20,000 people predicted to pass through the gates this weekend.

"The last weekend of the NSW Supershow is the best time for people to grab some great bargains on camping equipment and accessories."

"Caravan and recreational vehicle dealers offer some of the greatest prices on the market at the NSW Supershow every year, so it is a great opportunity for travellers to browse a variety of vehicles and then make their purchase right at the show."

The NSW Supershow is the largest and most extensive display of caravan, RV and camping products in Australia with camping and touring products popular at this year's event.

"Three to four person tents have been a very popular purchase for young families and couples visiting the show this year and fold-up camp cupboards and camping chairs have also been popular."

David Carrick of Jayco Sydney is exhibiting at the NSW Supershow and says that Jayco campers have been an item of interest at the show this year.

"Families with children aged between two and 15 years have shown real interest in the Jayco campers and we have noticed a real trend towards two and three generations of families choosing to travel together."

Attendance at the NSW Supershow this year reveals a strong industry that has a positive future.

"Caravan and camping tourism has been growing for over 10 years and we are encouraged that strong attendance figures at the show this year are differentiating our industry from other tourism sectors that may be feeling the effects of the economic slump," said Mr Baillie.

The last weekend of the NSW Supershow will showcase a variety of entertainment including jumping castles, shows by the Australian Reptile Park and a world first magic show by magician, Matt Hollywood.

"Matt Hollywood is the promotional ambassador for the NSW Supershow this year and he will be making the major prize GOLF Bushman Caravan disappear on Saturday, 25 April at 1pm. It is a performance not to be missed."

The NSW Supershow will be open on ANZAC Day from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday, 26
April from 10am to 4pm. Visit www.supershow.com.au for more information.
