their latest special interest brochure – 2010 New Zealand 12 Day Fully Escorted
Garden Tour featuring the Ellerslie International Flower Show.
The tour departs 01 March, 2010 and offers travellers the opportunity to discover the
warm colours of New Zealand in autumn and is fully escorted by garden designer
and horticultural expert, Kevin Walsh.
Incorporated in the itinerary are visits to 11 specialty gardens including a guided tour
to five in particular, where the group shall have only one guide per 24 travellers. The
varied selection of private and public gardens visited in Auckland, Rotorua, Napier,
Masterton, Wellington and Christchurch showcase the best of New Zealand’s flora;
with 10 of the gardens classified as Gardens of Significance, by the New Zealand

Wellington and Christchurch Botanical Gardens, Efil Doog Garden in Upper Hutt and
Richmond Garden in Carterton (which was recently recognised as being a Garden of
International Significance), as well as, Mona Vale Homestead in Christchurch.
A highlight of the tour is admission and a full day at the Ellerslie International Flower
Show, in its new home of Christchurch. The focus of the Show is as much about homes
and lifestyles as it is about gardens – the plants, garden design, colour, structure and

design and construction businesses with the opportunity to showcase to a global
audience the best of what New Zealand has to offer.
