Brisbane business dynamo named finalist in the 2009
Telstra Queensland Business Womens Awards
Local marketing guru-turned-socialpreneur, Ryll Burgin, proves that contribution and commerce
are a winning combination as she reaches the Queensland finals of the 2009 Telstra Business
Awards.
Ryll, who has created a multi-million dollar international franchise business from
scratch in under a year, is a true local success story having capitalized on her vision of making
small business equal big business in Australia.
Since inception in December 2008, Rylls network of 10X businesses have been revolutionising
the accounting profession
enabling accountants to proactively help their clients grow and
improve their businesses like never before. Thousands of SMEs across Australia and New
Zealand now have access to 10X business strategies and structured support.
In founding the 10X
franchise, Ryll created a unique way to fund her non-profit, stepUP
Foundation which, since its inception in 2002 has educated and inspired some 15,000 teens.
10X contributes $10,000 from every franchise sale and 10% of profits to stepUP. As the founder
of stepUP Foundation and the co-founder and Sales & Marketing Director of 10X Limited, Ryll is
an inspirational role model for teens and business owners across Australia and New Zealand.
For Ryll, her nomination and selection for the Telstra Business Womens Awards came as a
surprising but much-welcomed acknowledgment of her work in the teen and business
communities. As she says, This is an exciting recognition from the industry leaders for not only
my work, but the collective efforts of the extended 10X and stepUP teams across Australia and
New Zealand.
The winner of the 2009 Telstra Queensland Business Womens Awards will be announced on
Tuesday 20th October. For more information about Rylls history and achievements, please visit
